Had a fantastic stay in this villa. The location was perfect, literally minutes from Disney and about 20 minutes to Universal. The view from the pool area was lovely, it was so nice to look out over the lake and fountain each morning. The villa itself is very spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped. We will definitely be looking at booking to stay here again in the future! … see more

A minimum of 20kg baggage means there's no packing dilemmas or limit to the number of goodies you can take. Whether that's your little one's favourite toys or those tea bags you just can't imagine mornings without - after all, your villa is your home from home. Your kitchen’s always open, there's no interruptions to your quality time with loved ones and what would a villa holiday be without your very own pool? There's no rushing to reserve a sunlounger on a James villa holiday!
My family and I came here for dim sum since we haven't been here in years. You now have a check off list for the dim sum you want and the quantity. There was only one waitress that ran the food from the kitchen to the tables so we waited for a while to get our food. We finished our steam trays quickly (because at this point we were starving) and kept stacking them but no one took them off our table even though there were two other employees walking around.  One guy only came by to check to see if the tea was full and the other waitress was in charge of water refills. This isnt your typical dim sum experience with multiple carts coming your way. The dim sum tasted "off" and not the usual consistent flavors you would expect.
If you need a break from all this holiday relaxation in just an hour you can be in the island’s surprisingly sophisticated capital, Palma. Half of Majorca's 600,000 population live in this commercial and cultural centre, making the most of the rich history, culture and shopping. Most of the historic centre is traffic-free. You will find a lively cafe society reminiscent of Barcelona, as well as a thriving arts scene and stylish, sophisticated nightlife. [more] It is easy to spend a day drifting between shops, pavement cafés and museums. The city is dominated by La Seu Cathedral, a Gothic epic that took almost 400 years to build, on the site of a mosque and before that a Roman temple. Just to the east of the cathedral is a beach with a cycle path and promenade. For designer clothes try Jaume III, Palma’s equivalent to London’s Bond Street and for a superb choice of restaurants, head for the harbour. [less]

Majorca is an island for all seasons. If you go in spring you will be able to marvel at the multitude of flowering cherry trees. In summer you have all the festivals and the full on sunshine. If late [more] nights partying under the stars are an important part of your holiday, nightlife in Alcudia is lively. In autumn you can enjoy the excitement of the grape and olive harvests. In September and October the clear turquoise sea will still be warm but a lot less crowded. There are simply no boring bits to Majorca – the whole island is awash with gorgeous sights, tastes and smells, with something amazing around every corner. It is an island for all kinds of people. Eating out is a real pleasure in Majorca but be warned – you may not feel like cooking at the villa once you have sampled what is on offer in the restaurants. The seafood is sublime! Sea bass baked in rock salt is an island classic, and the catch of the day might include squid, lobster and sardines. But you don’t have to rely on what comes out of the sea – there are plenty of meat options, from fillet steak to lamb shank. Try the smaller family-run [more] places that will give you a huge welcome and are happy to advise you on your choice of tapas and other traditional Spanish food such as slow roasted lamb, rabbit with crayfish or sobrassada, a meaty spicy sausage. For your pud try the ensaimada, a very sweet, spiral-shaped pastry dessert. To finish your meal, you could try Hierbas - also known as Herbes - a local liqueur produced using fennel and other herbs and spices. Hierbas tastes of aniseed, similar to Pernod or Ouzo. Then there are the cafes where you can enjoy the great Majorcan desserts and cakes. Calories consumed on holiday don’t count! [less]

This property is in a perfect location, just a 5 min drive or 15-20 minute walk from the old town and beaches and a 5 min walk to a lidl and mercadona supermarket. The villa is in a private little area accessible only through the properties surrounding the pool. On street parking was always available outside. Everything you need inside: washing machine, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, outside seating front and back of the property, clothes airer, fan, smart tv, dvd player (no HDMI cable so couldn't use it but logged into our netflix account. Joan Marc said it may have gone when the new tv arrived so he will get a new one), wifi. The area is beautiful with the ruins, small and beautiful medieval town, the old town and further along a busier more touristy area but still not massively commercialised. In the surrounding area there are waterparks, watersports, stunning beaches within short driving distance (Montgo). Parking in the area is great, mostly free on the streets, near beaches and free car parks - small areas are pay for parking but mostly in the old town area so makes driving more accessible. The ting ting train runs all the time and is great if you walk along to any of the towns/beaches then don't want to walk back :) One minor downside was that on arrival at the property at 9pm saturday night there had been a misunderstanding with the cleaner and our arrival date so we had no towels or bedding but the lovely man who let us in; Josep couldn't do enough to help and we got some blankets and towels (too hot for anything more than a sheet luckily). We emailed the owner Joan Marc who was abroad himself but he replied very quickly and had a cleaner round first thing in the morning and then the lady who dealt with the bedding and towels arrived and sorted all of that out, he also offered an additional clean if we wanted it in the week but we didn't feel it was necessary, we were just happy it was all sorted so quickly and we could enjoy our holiday.
“Spacious premier suite room. Amazing bathroom (my son loved it so much). Stunning views from our room and the infinity pool. Just a road away from KSL shopping mall. I love the prompt check in and out service, amazing bell boy and prompt response time when we ask for housekeeping. Many restaurants around the hotel. GREAT Thai Odyssey massage at level 6 and hair saloon at ground level (look for jack if you’re there). Very nice nasi lemak for breakfast.”

Nerja's most spectacular and one of Spain's biggest tourist attractions is the fascinating 'Cuevas de Nerja' (Caves of Nerja), located just three kilometres from the centre of town. They include archaeological treasures such as 20,000 year old paintings, pre-historic remains and the world's biggest stalactite to stalagmite formation. Boasting 16 kilometres of beaches and sparkling clear water. All major water sports are available in the area, including scuba diving and sailing.

We had the most relaxing, thrilling and genuine vacation experience imaginable. The house, its pool and its beautiful setting is a paradise in itself and Giuseppe took care of us in a wonderful and most hospitable way. Sant' Ambroggio's inhabitants welcomed us in every way and we felt very much as part of the village life for a week. We would return tomorrow if we could! … see more
On the way to the Hotel Formentor, this is a semi circular beach with narrow fringes of sand, clear water and thick pinewoods which lead down to the water. It can be very busy as boats also moor here and there is a daily visit from the glass bottom boat with lots of holidaymakers aboard! There are 2 bars on the beach and parking facilities a short walk away.

Besides the added space and privacy, you’ll see that vacation rentals are a great value, too, often costing about half what a hotel would cost. If you’re wondering if that savings might come at the expense of comfort and amenities, the answer is not at all. You can kick back on the couch as if it were your own, cook your favorite meals in the kitchen, and check in on friends or colleagues with in-house Wi-Fi.
